World Trigger season 2 has started airing as part of the winter 2021 anime season and World Trigger season 2 episode 1 picked up right where episode 73 of the long running first season left off. As a result of the four year hiatus the anime took as a result of the manga by Daisuke Ashihara needing to be on a break from 2016 to 2018 due to the mangaka having health issues, a lot of World Trigger fans are a bit rusty on what the setting of World Trigger is like and who the characters are. In this recap video I explain concepts like what is trion, and what are triggers, as well as looking at black triggers, side effects, trion soldiers and the Border agent rankings. I also give reminders of the back story of each of the main characters, Osamu Mikano, Jin Yuichi, Chika Amatori and Yuma Kuuga (Kuga), as well as a couple of other important characters like Hyuse, Kitora Ai, and the Tamakoma branch. Whether you just want a refresher or reminder about what you need to know about World Trigger and its characters ahead of season 2, or you are trying to get into the World Trigger anime as a new fan, hopefully this video will help you to understand or remember some of what was in the first 73 episode season.
