In my effort to help Korean speaking people to understand the meaning of the song, I inserted English lyrics and Korean translation of min into the video for sing along as well for learning Korean should any desires to do so.

This song was written by Bart Millard who grew up under a very violent father and could only imagine. Bart left father and was on a concert tour with his band MercyMe. Missing his son, Bart’s father who was at the last stage of stomach cancer listened to his son’s gospel song and preaching that followed his son’s concert. Eventually, the father got saved and sought reconciliation with his son. Bart who lived so long with anger and resentment against his father found it difficult to forgive his abusive father in the past. But the power of gospel, father, and son reconcile and Bart could send his father to the other world in peace. Bart could write this song, I can only imagine afterward.
