Tokyo 2020: Olympics organisers unveil latest set of rules on holding Games amid COVID-19

Olympics organisers are pushing ahead with plans to open Tokyo 2020 in just under three months. They have unveiled the latest set of rules — known as the playbook — to show how the Games can be held during a pandemic. Among the new rules, athletes will be tested daily for COVID-19 — up from a previous plan to have them tested every four days. A decision on whether to allow local spectators will be pushed to June. Foreign fans have already been banned. There have been increasing concerns on how to hold the Games safely as Japan battles a new wave of coronavirus infections.
