平成元年生まれ。シンガーソングライター。
2歳からクラシックピアノを習い、その後ヴァイオリン・合唱・声楽・ドラム・ギターなど様々な音楽を経験。18歳より鍵盤弾き語りをメインに活動開始。
2016年、メジャーデビュー。
高い評価を受け「フジロックフェスティバル」「ライジングサンロックフェスティバル」など大型フェスに出演。
ヒグチアイの魅力はなんと言ってもその「言葉」。心に語りかけるように響くアルトヴォイス、時に感情と共に大きく揺らめく歌声で聴くものの心に「言葉」を刻んでいく。
2020年、オリンピック前の東京という時代の風景を歌った「東京にて」はラジオで多くのリスナーに届き、多数のロックアーティストやお笑い芸人からの絶大な支持へと広がった。
2021年、ジェーン・スー原作のテレビ東京系ドラマ『生きるとか死ぬとか父親とか』にエンディングテーマ「縁」(ゆかり)を書き下ろし。
自身と同じ「働く女性」をテーマにした三部作「悲しい歌がある理由」「距離」「やめるなら今」を3ヶ月連続配信。
「やめるなら今」ではヒグチアイの音楽のファンと公言する女性ピン芸人・吉住がミュージックビデオに出演。
2022年1月、TVアニメ「進撃の巨人」The Final Season Part 2 エンディングテーマ「悪魔の子」をリリース。瞬く間に世界中のチャートを席巻し、今なお勢いは衰えずモンスターヒットの兆しを見せている。

Ai Higuchi
Born in 1989. Singer-songwriter.
Started playing classical piano at the age of 2, and later experienced various music such as violin, chorus, voice, drums, guitar, etc. Started performing mainly as a keyboard player at the age of 18.
In 2016, she made her major label debut.
She has performed at major festivals such as “Fuji Rock Festival” and “Rising Sun Rock Festival” to high acclaim.
Ai Higuchi’s charm is her “words”. With an alto voice that resonates as if speaking to the heart, and a singing voice that sometimes shimmers with emotion, Ai Higuchi leaves “words” in the hearts of those who listen to her.
Her song “In Tokyo,” which depicts the scenery of pre-Olympic Tokyo in 2020, reached many listeners on the radio, and has gained tremendous support from many rock artists and comedians.
In 2021, he wrote the ending theme song “Yukari” (meaning “connection”) for the TV Tokyo drama series “Ikiru toka shinu toka chichioya toka” (Living, Dying, Father, etc.) written by Jane Sue.
Distributed a trilogy of songs based on the same theme of “working women” as herself, “Kanashii Uta ga Aru Riyuu” (meaning “Why there is a sad song”) “Kyori” (meaning “Distance”) and “Yamerunara Ima” (meaning “The time to quit is now”) for three consecutive months.
The music video for “Yamerunara Ima” features Yoshizumi, a female pin-up comedian who professes to be a fan of Ai Higuchi’s music.
In January 2022, Higuchi released “Akuma no Ko” Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 Ending Theme. The song quickly swept the charts around the world and is still going strong, showing signs of being a monster hit.
Her latest album “Saiaku Saiai” (meaning “The Worst and the Most Loved”) is now on sale.
