宮城県気仙沼市にある本吉町フェンシング協会を訪れた綾瀬はるかさん。監督の三浦永司さんとチームの子供たちが盛大に出迎えてくれました。中世ヨーロッパで生まれた貴族のスポーツ、フェンシングに綾瀬さんもチャレンジ。綾瀬さんが強敵の齋藤利莉さんや、チームの子供たちと一戦交えると、勝敗の行方を見守るみんなの笑顔がキラキラと輝きます。このチームでは東日本大震災で家や家族を失った子供たちが、手をつないで頑張ってきた。支えてくれた人たちへの恩返しのためにも、一生懸命練習してオリンピックで金メダルを獲りたい。

Haruka Ayase visited the Motoyoshimachi Fencing Club, where the coach Eiji Miura and the fencing team kids all gave her a warm welcome. Then, she tried her hand at the aristocratic sport of fencing that started in Medieval Europe. They all smiled brightly watching Ms. Ayase battle strong opponents like Rirei Sato and other kids on the fencing team.
There are kids on this fencing team that lost their homes and families in the Great East Japan Earthquake but they help each other and strive on. And, to repay those who have helped them so much, they practice with all their might aiming to win a gold medal at the next Olympics.
