女優の桐谷美玲さんが1月18日、東京都内で行われたソフトバンク「ワイモバイル」の新商品発表会「Y！mobile 2017 Spring」に不思議ソング「ペンパイナッポーアッポーペン（PPAP）」で大ブレークしたピコ太郎さんと登場。発表会では、桐谷さんがピコ太郎さんとともに“ヤングマンバージョン”の「PPAP」を生披露。息の合ったパフォーマンスをみせ、桐谷さんは「すごく楽しかったです」と興奮気味に語った。
発表会には、桐谷さん、ピコ太郎さん、同CMシリーズなどで有名なネコの「ふてニャン」が出席。ピコ太郎さんが「PPAP」を生披露したほか、3月6日に日本武道館（東京都千代田区）でライブを開催することも発表された。
