直木賞作家の森絵都さんの水泳の飛び込みを題材とした人気小説「DIVE！！」がテレビアニメ化され、フジテレビの深夜アニメ枠「ノイタミナ」で7月にスタートする。
アニメは、鈴木薫さんが監督を務め、「SHOW BY ROCK！！」の待田堂子さんが脚本、ゼロジーがアニメを制作。梶裕貴さんが主人公・坂井知季を演じる。元飛び込み選手の両親を持つ“サラブレッド”の富士谷要一役を櫻井孝宏さん、津軽の海で飛び込みを続けてきた一匹狼の沖津飛沫役を中村悠一さん、派手なピンクのパンツをはき、“ピンキー”と呼ばれる山田篤彦役を、杉田智和さんが演じる。
「DIVE！！」は、赤字経営のダイビングクラブに通う主人公・坂井知季が、五輪出場を目指す姿を描いた青春小説。林遣都さん主演の映画が08年に公開された。
